Great to meet you!
Life is complicated and requires balance to navigate through its hardest moments. I am a private practice psychotherapist and a self-proclaimed optimist who is strength-based, and I want to support you through tough times. I recently completed my Doctorate in Social Work, which takes the whole person into consideration to build resilience, and my clinical work is steeped in building discovery, self-reflection, and empathy. I was trained at NYU and specialize in difficult life transitions.
A bit about my approach to therapy
I believe in a therapeutic partnership that allows the client to guide treatment. I am trained in and employ several long-term clinical models as well as short-term evidence based practices, which offer a variety of opportunities for clients to address all of their needs. My work is grounded in anti-racist and anti-oppressive trauma responsive practices, which help us get to the root of the individual's challenges and symptoms.
What you can expect from our first session
My approach is supportive, encouraging, and thoughtful, and I work with clients to identify recurring patterns of thinking, behavior in their lives, ways to develop goals, and healthy coping mechanisms to progress toward healthy and harmonious lives. I often use humor to create a warm, relaxed environment that allows you to feel both comfortable and vulnerable while healing in public.
