Bryan Ahrens is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). Hoping to make a positive change in the world, Bryan's career began as a journalist, but he realized there was a better way to use his passion for helping others and decided to make a change and pursued his Master's degree for counseling.

A bit about my approach to therapy

  1. Bryan focuses on stress-management and coping with life changes, specifically with clients who suffer from anxiety and depression. Bryan is also an experienced Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) and specializes in crisis-intervention. As a trained Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist, Bryan also provides clients the opportunity to process trauma in a safe environment.

What you can expect from our first session

During sessions, Bryan utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Trauma-Informed care. Bryan also utilizes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients process traumatic events.
