No matter our age, we all experience pain. As a trauma-focused therapist for children and adults, I have come to learn that all pain, big or small, has the potential to leave a lasting mark. From feeling misunderstood to experiencing neglect and abuse, this pain is often at the root of symptoms such as anxiety, depression, anger, and acting-out behavior, and keeps us from living to our fullest potential. My goal is to establish a compassionate connection with you and/or your child, so that together we can begin to understand the parts that hold pain, and help these parts begin to heal.
My practice approach is based on years of training and experience in trauma in both children and adults, and is rooted in neurobiology, attachment theory, and a social justice lens. For children, this approach is adapted into play therapy, which is used to help children build an emotional vocabulary, facilitate self-expression, and regulate strong emotions.
I am accepting new clients for Saturday appointments and have some limited weeknight availability. I look forward to hearing from you.
