Great to meet you!

I have been a clinical social worker since 1998, having received my Masters in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. I returned to school and received my Doctor of Social Work degree from the University of Tennessee Knoxville in 2020. I enjoy working with people struggling with anxiety and depression and I work well with health care workers, people with early life trauma, people with cancer or other medical conditions, and those who are struggling with chronic pain.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, along with mindfulness and self-compassion techniques, to help you learn to take control of your journey and nurture yourself through stressful situations. I am also offering Pain Reprocessing Therapy to treat chonic pain symptoms. I see adults (18+) for individual therapy.

What you can expect from our first session

I will help you learn new ways of coping with difficult emotions through mind-body approaches and work with you to examine how negative thinking can be magnifying your problems and your suffering. Above all, I have a warm and compassionate approach to helping you thrive!
