This year in particular has heightened underlying feelings of anxiety and depression for many of us. Others may experience ongoing struggles with addiction, trauma, relationships or perhaps a strong inner critic. I think of therapy as a grounding, non-judgmental and encouraging space which allows us to seek to make sense of these problems collaboratively.
I tailor my approach to client's unique needs while helping client increase their access to inner resources. My belief is that tools for healing and insight are in all of us, though they may be obscured from view at first glance.
My goal is to help client's release internal constraints that allows for greater access to their essential selves. My approach is rooted in the compassion focused Internal Family Systems model (Dr. Richard Schwartz). I also incorporate aspects of mindfulness based CBT and DBT. My approach I also draw on the works of Alice Miller, Gabor Mate and Tara Brach. I've had the privilege of calling several countries home and welcome individuals of diverse cultural backgrounds and perspectives.
