Hello, My name is Ashley. I provide online therapy to people who are struggling with issues related to trauma, relationships, addiction, anxiety, or major life changes. I often work with people are are feeling overwhelmed. People who feel there are some many things to do and not enough time in a day. They tend to have so many spinning plates in the air, that the one that gets dropped most often are themselves.
A bit about my approach to therapy
I am very passionate about helping someone find overall wellness and balance. I do this with a variety of approaches including dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, body awareness and a little bit of humor and compassion. I tend to have a more person-centered approach where I focus on treating the whole person and how thoughts feelings and behaviors influence you. Together, we identify your goals and values and frame our sessions around these.
What you can expect from our first session
Initially we would develop a way to trust one another so you would feel comfortable opening up about what is going on inside of your mind. I have years of experience providing individual therapy. My goal is to help people find balance, connection, and healing. No matter where someone is in their life, counseling can help achieve overall wellness. This allows an individual to achieve their goals and to make decisions based on their values.
