As a black therapist in Brooklyn, NY, I understand how easy it can be to get lost in the constant hustle and bustle in New York City. You might find yourself asking if you made the right move, chose the right career path, or are in the right relationship. I acknowledge your struggle and your bravery to face it.

When you can’t keep up with life, you start feeling ungrounded.

Opening up your history takes a great amount of courage. Whether this is your first time seeking therapy or you’ve sought counsel before-- seeking help can be scary. I believe in the healing power of a strong therapeutic relationship. I drive my sessions with a lot of sensitivity and compassion.

I can assist you as we work together to understand how your past life experiences show up in the your present day. Together, we can look at the meaning behind your struggles and whether certain thoughts and behaviors are getting in the way of being the best version of you.

My approach is to meet you where you are, act as a support and to challenge you at the same time.

I combine different therapeutic tools and your strengths to help you identify your inner resources to manage daily stressors, work stress, relational troubles, and other obstacles impacting your mental wellbeing. In addition, I like to discuss the various techniques I implement in session as we work through them together. I believe it is important for you to have an understanding of the treatment used and how it may be beneficial to help to address your goals in therapy.

In addition, I am passionate about diversity and inclusiveness for all people. I believe in providing affirming and non-judgmental therapy, no matter how one may identify. My hope as we do this work together is to help you become more self-compassionate and gentle with yourself all while making room for a new narrative.
