A bit about my approach to therapy

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I graduated in 2015 from The University of Texas in El Paso. I am currently Licenced in Texas and New Mexico. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)and it is the primary modality that I use, however, I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

What you can expect from our first session

Sessions are tailored to the client's needs and what they are seeking from therapy. During our first visit, an assessment will be completed, we will start building rapport as well as a care plan which will include the client's goals and objectives. Clients will take away skills and tools to use on their day-to-day to cope with their symptoms and stressors. Clients will be able to process what is underneath those symptoms and behavior and develop healthier ways of thinking.
