I am a bilingual Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York, with 6 years of experience. I have worked in middle/high schools, colleges, inpatient and outpatient treatment programs, nonprofit organizations and substance abuse facilities. I also help develop new counselors as a professor in a counseling masters program.
I have counseled people facing life challenges including depression, anxiety, ADHD, family conflict, relationship issues, trauma, coping skills, life transitions and everyday issues. In providing individual/family therapy to children, adolescents and adults I help my clients achieve their goals while addressing personal, social, environmental and behavioral barriers.
My style is warm and interactive with sessions that are client centered, goal-directed and solution focused. My primary therapy orientations are Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy. I believe that therapy is a time to learn about yourself and to apply those skills learned to day-to-day life. My goal with providing therapy is to increase awareness about your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, while assisting you live your optimal life.
If you feel that you are struggling with direction in your life, together we can work to seek answers! I look forward to working with you.
