About Me

Annalissa Vicencio, MA, MT-BC, LCAT, is a Music Therapist/Psychotherapist, Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, Holistic Health Coach, and a PhD Student in the Rehabilitation Sciences Doctoral Program at NYU (https://steinhardt.nyu.edu/degree/phd-rehabilitation-sciences/current-student-bios). She is a graduate of the NYU Master of Arts program in Music Therapy and has an undergraduate degree in Biology, concentration Neuroscience (double minors in Psychology and Music. Annalissa's Masters thesis was entitled A Transpersonal Approach to Music Therapy in Neurorehabilitation, and Long-Term Medical Settings: A Call to Empowering Holism, Creativity, Integration, and Collaboration.


Annalissa is also the owner and founder of Whole Health Power, through which she offers Holistic Health and Wellness Coaching, Recovery Coaching, Private Academic Tutoring and Private Music Lessons. Annalissa is also an alumnus of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, the Institute of the Psychology of Eating, and NCADD of Westchester.


Annalissa's vision integrates her musicianship, passion for neuroscience, mixed-methods research, clinical outreach, educational skills and her calling to empower others in service via the innately transforming and holistic healing aspects of the arts.


Annalissa's wishes to capitalize on clinical training as a music psychotherapist to fuel psychobiological research on healing and empowerment through music.
