Great to meet you!

I use a combination of CBT, DBT, and Holistic therapy principles to pursue healing. I utilize acceptance and narrative therapy techniques to instill empowerment and accountability. I provide a judgement free zone to address the issues that can cause guilt and shame. I do have the expectation that clients participate fully in the therapy process; introspection, honesty, openness, and following through with the work outside of the therapy hour.

A bit about my approach to therapy

The first step is usually psychoeducation; the neuroscience behind emotions, cognitions, and behavior, the importance of nutrition on health. We then move on to coping skills, processing and/or reprocessing negative core beliefs. Once we feel we have a good understanding of motivation and consequences for current beliefs and behaviors we then identify a blueprint to accomplish goals.

What you can expect from our first session

The goal of each session is to learn and understand more about the motivations behind our thoughts, beliefs, emotions and behaviors. With the development of insight we both work together to identify skills that can provide growth and progress towards treatment goals. The expected take away from each session is an increase in knowledge and a blueprint in moving forward.
