Angela provides outpatient and telehealth services for individuals. She creates a safe environment where clients can share their feelings without judgment and receive the support they need. Angela has completed additional training from the University of North Carolina in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She also has training certificates in Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Thinking, Brief Strategic Family Therapy and Systems of Care. Each of these training's helps her provide an evidence-based practice tailored to individual needs.
My purpose is to establish a trusting relationship with the client and help them in their journey. Counseling can help you overcome issues that are causing pain or difficulty. It can provide a safe and regular space for you to talk and explore feelings. The counselor is there to support and help you to find your own insight and understanding of your problems.
Counseling can help you: Manage anger. Understand your behaviors and choose to make healthy decisions/behaviors. Recognize negative thinking patterns. Cope with a relationship breakdown. Deal with feelings of depression or sadness, and have a more positive outlook on life. Understand yourself and your problems better. Feel more confident and hopeful. Develop a better understanding of other people's points of view. There are many different challenges in life and talking with someone may be the first step to your recovery.
