Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Andrea, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist. Having worked in a variety of mental health settings and within the public school system, I have 20 years of experience with children & adolescents. My passion is helping children discover & build upon their strengths and abilities to overcome obstacles, learn new skills, and establish healthy relationships. I believe the therapy process should be engaging and collaborative in a safe and supportive environment.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I believe one of the most important aspects of therapy is the relationship between child & therapist. I use a client centered, strengths-based approach to build rapport & establish a positive relationship with clients. I specialize in EMDR, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Processing, Play Therapy, & Mindfulness Practices. Through play and talk therapy, I help children learn to manage emotions & behaviors, build social skills, enhance self-esteem, handle stress, and improve impulse control.

What you can expect from our first session

Each child receives personalized care with an opportunity to express themselves & make sense of the world through play and will experience a sense of safety & connection that promotes personal growth.

I believe strongly in the positive outcomes associated with therapy. I am here to partner with you to provide the most comprehensive care to help your child develop the skills needed to be happy and healthy, to become the best version of themselves.
