I understand what it is to be human and have the nuanced judgment to help you handle what is interfering with having an easy, fulfilling life. I use Modern Psychoanalysis to treat the full range of psychological and emotional troubles. Whether long or short term, I help clients become less controlled by debilitating feelings and symptoms.
My training includes the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Study Center, The Philadelphia School of Psychoanalysis, and The Westchester Institute for PsyA. Additionally, I am on the Board of the American Board of Accreditation for Psychoanalysis and Chair of the Analysts in Training Committee at the National Association for the Advancement in Psychoanalysis.
I create a therapeutic environment that is hospitable and secure. I am down to earth, realistic, and practical; recognizing that change can be scary. I work at a gentle and non-confrontational pace. My clients learn to rely more on their inner power and, if interested, less on medicine.
My specialties include Self-Esteem, Life Transitions, Interpersonal Difficulties, Work-Family Balance, Stress Management, Parenting Issues, Family Conflict, Marital and Divorce, Couples, Separation Anxiety, Abuse, Grief and Loss, Shame and guilt, Bullying, Resolving Creative Block, Chronic Pain and Illness, Infertility, Pregnancy, Depression, Anxiety, Mood Disorders, PTSD, Acute Trauma, Bi-Polar Disorder, Dissociative Disorder, and Maturational Development.
Specialty populations include entertainment industry personnel, artists, performing artists, athletes, politicians, and public figures.
Other specialties include chronic illness and somatic complaints.
