I am excited that you are taking the initiative to take care of your mental health! Mental health is as important as maintaining good physical health. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York with over 5 years experience working with youth, adults, and families as a therapist. I graduated from SUNY Binghamton in 2015 with an MSW. As an undergrad, I attended the University of Pittsburgh in 2013 and graduated with a Bachelors in Psychology, double minoring in English and Counseling Psychology. I have extensive experience working with clients with a wide range of concerns including but not limited to depression, anxiety, childhood trauma and trauma related to growing up and living in foster care, as well as low self- esteem and family and relationship issues. I currently hold a position as the Director of Social Work for Community Residential Programs for a foster care agency.
My counseling style is very warm and strength based. Being voted “Most Likely to Tell it Like it Is” by my MSW cohort is indicative of the fact that I will be honest with you, while having your back 110% as we go down this path together. My approach combines mindfulness, solution- focused, DBT, and CBT. I will tailor our dialogue and treatment strategies to meet your needs.
I believe we are all searching for ways to become our authentic self, that person we’ve always been but due to systems, traumas and societal expectations, we have lost our way. Congratulations on your first step towards becoming your authentic self. When you are ready, I will be here to support and empower you. I look forward to working with you!
