Alyssa Tortorella, LMHC understands that initiating therapy can be intimidating and therefore takes care to ensure a therapeutic setting that emanates non-judgment and compassion. Sessions with Alyssa are interactive, with client and therapist working as a team to clarify treatment goals, establish a course of action, and move toward self-actualization. Alyssa welcomes open, direct, and ongoing feedback, and is always willing to alter sessions to meet the client’s changing circumstances and priorities.

She also draws upon her extensive training and experience in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
Alyssa works with children, adolescents, and adults. She has extensive experience as a therapist for individuals and families, as well as a facilitator of support groups. Alyssa has enjoyed working with a diverse clientele in a range of settings, including inpatient treatment centers, substance-abuse treatment centers, hospitals, and schools.
