Headway

Alisa

In the past 15 years that I have been in practice, I have assisted numerous individuals in various age groups.

My goal is to provide a level of therapy specific to each person or families need’s. I’ve sought special training as needed, and I continue to grow as a therapist with and for my patients.

In 2001, I received my doctorate from Pace University. Since then I continue to learn new approaches and partake in training to improve and enhance my skills. I sought additional training in Stanley Greenspan’s DIR approach to working with children and adolescents. Additionally, post-doctoral training at the William Alanson White Institute in NYC has enhanced my work with adults in many areas, particularly those with addictions and eating disorders. All of these professional experiences have allowed me to incorporate effective skills for helping children, adolescents, and adults achieve healthier lifestyles.

My patients have told me they feel calm and relaxed in my presence, as I create a nurturing environment that helps them feel open and comfortable. My therapy style is interactive and focuses on building a trusting relationship while providing objectivity and therapeutic neutrality that’s necessary for progress.

If you have questions about the kind of therapy you or your loved one needs, just call and we can talk it through. I understand that decisions like this are not easy, and I’m glad to help with the process.

My first priority is you.
