Suffering from emotional pain is difficult. Reaching out to a therapist is a first step towards healing. Maybe you don’t feel like yourself and need some help finding a sense of balance in your life. Feeling dissatisfied in your relationships, sadness, grief, or anxiety are typical reasons people seek therapy.
I have advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) which are effective to treat many mental health issues. I tend to weave mindfulness training in most interventions. I use short term therapies 4-6 months in duration, but everyone has a unique life situation and sometimes therapy is long-term.
I value providing a non-judgmental, inclusive, and affirmative space for clients to process their difficulties at their own pace. Your self-determination is important. You are able to change your situation and it is my role as a therapist to help you develop that ability.
